Fatso

The Fatso certainly was a ?breakthrough? lure, with many imitators, despite all the efforts made, the Fatso?s wiggle simply can?t be copied. Any serious angler who clipped on a Fatso to twitch, crank, jerk or troll it can tell you how devastatingly effective this lure is. The Fatso 10 is a smaller but equally combative brother of the Fatso 14. The smaller Fatso has proven in field tests that it works wonders when fishing for large predators. Both sizes of the Fatso are available in floating and sinking versions.

Recommended for: Pike and zander.

This lure can be used in many ways. It’s as effective using a very busy retrieve with many delicate jerks and synchronized twitches as it is for trolling at constant speeds. Over weedy shallows of 0.5 ? 1m we fish with the rod tip held high. In deeper water we lower the rod tip and rhythmically jerk the lure with downwards strokes of the rod tip. The sinking model is irreplaceable when fish are not biting shy. It should be retrieved very slowly, with frequent pauses. The Fatso sinks very slowly during these pauses, but it still keeps its action. It’s very important to keep a tight line so you can detect takes on the drop and strike positively.
