This gliding jerkbait, introduced to the Salmo range in 2003, has already become legendary. It is no wonder since plenty of personal bests have been beaten using this lure. The Slider brings a new quality to the world of artificial lures. Both its unique shape (which many other companies try to copy) and fantastic, unbelievably natural action will charm everyone who casts a Slider. Retrieving this lure is not difficult, suffice to say: with the Slider any method is effective! The Slider family consists of three sizes in floating and sinking versions.

Before fishing proper you should always make a few casts and practise retrieves in clear water to watch the Slider’s behaviour and get your timing right, when you do the Slider will turn acutely from side to side, each turn at a right angle to the direction of retrieve. Do not allow slack line to form after each jerk. It is crucial to have a tight line so you can set the hook when you get a take. When water temperatures are very low (2o - 5oC) fish slowly, with pauses of up to three seconds long between very gentle jerks.
