After only a couple of seasons in the Salmo range the Skinner is already a legend. Its unusual, original shape and a simply unbelievable, aggressive action makes every trophy fish angler focus his attention on this lure. After just a couple of casts with the Skinner you will be amazed by its versatility - there are very few lures that can be retrieved as a surface lure, a jerkbait or a twitchbait. The Skinner does not dive deep, but it does disturb large predators that will attack it from deep water. The Skinner is available as a floating lure in four sizes.
Recommended for: Pike and zander.
The Skinner has a great action when retrieved at the slowest speeds, but it really shows its class when it’s twitched. Just retrieve at a steady speed with a short jerk now and then; longer and stronger strokes with the rod will have the Skinner skipping left and right; exactly what large predators like to see, and they often react with uncontrolled aggression. When trolling with the Skinner its effectiveness is improved if you actively jerk the lure from time to time.
